The New Standard in Cleaning
Associate Profile: Belinda Bright

When Belinda Bright came to Scioto 15 years ago, she found more than just a new job: she found a husband. She laughs as she looks back to that time where she was first assigned to the Weld Department with Russell Bright. “ I didn’t like him and snubbed him at first,” she remembers. “ I told a fellow associate

that he better knock off the teasing and not get too comfortable with me.”

After fourteen years of marriage, Belinda not only became comfortable with Russell, but became comfortable with Scioto as well. “After being self-employed with my own cleaning business, I found Scioto to be my home,” says Belinda. “I have enjoyed watching this company grow and I’m very proud of my job.”

A Scioto Club member, Belinda has been assigned to most Honda departments during her tenure, as well as schools, colleges, and other special projects.

With her first-hand knowledge and the training she is receiving in High Potential Associate courses, Belinda is relied upon to work on last minute projects and assist in training new associates on floor work. “I like getting to know other people at work and having a contagious positive attitude,” says Belinda. “If someone is feeling down, I try to help them out.”

Belinda and Russell have lived in Marysville for two years, and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. A music buff, Belinda collects Elvis memorabilia, plays guitar, and hosts her family and friends for karaoke parties at her home.

Scioto Associate Recognized for Performance Excellence

The Rardin Family Practice, a medical center housed in two stories of the Northwood & High building, honored a Scioto associate for her outstanding contrib ution to the organization.

During the past year, Patricia Hale has been responsible for the general cleaning duties at the build ing, and has found it to be a pleasant place to work. “I enjoy the people I work with and they have always been very nice to me,” says Patricia. Account Manager John Mawer attributes her success to her ability to understand her job and the ease in which she has fit in with others. “Patricia is an excellent employee. She has a good grasp of the needs of the building and an attention to detail that is greatly appreciated,” states John. “Her personality fits in well at the building. Everyone I talk to loves her.”

Facility Manager Frank Combs explained that although the award is not normally granted to outside vendors, the staff of Rardin Family Practice wanted to show their appreciation to Patricia for her consistency in taking care of the cleanliness of the practice. “Cleaning this building is a large undertaking,” says Frank. “ There has been a steady difference in what it looks like since Patricia has been employed here with us. She does a great job and fits in as one of our staff.”
