The New Standard in Cleaning
Associate Profile: Tonia Browder

When Scioto opened the doors to its new office three months ago, Tonia Browder came aboard to handle the receptionist needs for the Columbus region.

With a desire to challenge herself, Tonia has found a way to utilize her current knowledge and discover new

talents through multi-tasking. According to Regional Manager Joe Warner, “Tonia has been a big help in getting the office started by providing administrative support to our busy account managers and assisting with human resource duties.”

Tonia states that she welcomes the added responsibilities that are entrusted to her and enjoys the corporate culture of Scioto. “I find that Scioto people really get along with one another. I appreciate how issues of any kind are addressed and real life limitations are taken into account when finding resolutions,” she adds.

One of the unique innovations to her credit is the bi-lingual atmosphere of the Columbus

office. By brushing up on her Spanish-speaking skills and putting Spanish written newspapers in the lobby, Tonia has committed herself to accommodating the language needs of the Hispanic population in the Columbus region. She has also begun transferring administrative forms and associate surveys to Spanish.

Engaged to Michel Corner, Tonia resides in her native Columbus, where she enjoys a close-knit relationship with her family.

With a multitude of hobbies and interests, Tonia is a selfproclaimed information junkie. “I look at every day as a new learning experience.”

New Inductees Honored at Scioto Club Breakfast

Four new associates were inducted into the Scioto Club at the semi-annual breakfast last month. Welcoming new members Teresa Bolen, Eileen Cook, Jeff Wooddell and Ron Bunch, the Scioto Club is now 55 members strong.

The Scioto Club breakfast events always include keynote speakers or some form of interactive entertainment, such as the popular “Scioto Trivia Contest”. All Scioto Associates with over five years’ service become eligible. According to Chief Financial Officer David Anderson, “The breakfast is a way to celebrate the key people within our organization who have provided us with this distinguished length of service.”

Although two events are held each year, the awards ceremony always takes place in the Fall. For the first time, an evening dinner is being planned this November so Associates may ask a guest to join them and share in their professional accomplishments.

Scioto Club Members enjoyed a breakfast buffet in their honor last month at the Philadelphia Bar and Grill in Marysville.
